Hey there, I’m Valerie Lonigro. I’m an actress/producer working in NYC and living in Brooklyn.

I’m Valerie Lonigro and I’m an actress with a passion for doing quality work and telling stories about what it means to be human. I’m attracted to and inspired by intelligent stories with a sharp sense of humor and/or a lot of heart.

I'm honored to have won BEST FEMALE ACTOR at the ART IS ALIVE FILM FESTIVAL in NYC for a short film I co-produced called, THE FALLS.  My name has been published in three different play scripts (available at Drama Book Shop)!  I originated roles in the full length plays THE TUTOR by Kate Mulley, as well ST. FRANCIS by Miranda Jonte published in THE BEST PLAYS FROM AMERICAN THEATRE FESTIVALS 2015.  Also, THE MALTESE WALTER was published in THE BEST TEN-MINUTE PLAYS 2016, in which I play Vera.

I have produced four short films now and have starred in three of them, giving me great creative fulfillment!  I’ve also been so grateful to have been directed by a Pulitzer Prize nominee, Bryn Manion, and a Tony award winner, Crystal Dickinson, played a role in an Independent Feature Film that won the Tribeca All Access Creative Promise Award, and a Web Series that won Best Narrative Short at The Winnipeg Film Festival. 

I’m proud to have graduated with my MFA in Acting from The New School for Drama in NYC and then studied for 6 years with David Gideon, Lee Strasberg (the METHOD) expert and lifetime member of The Actors’ Studio.

I’m a lady that loves dancing, running, hot yoga, and lifting weights (okay, I’m a professional fitness expert www.VLOtraining.com.) My eclectic interests include drinking green goddess smoothies, meditating, collecting plays, listening to hip-hop and R&B, eating artisanal food, playing Scrabble and chess (on actual boards!), and playing with my maniac/lovable cat, Mack (named after President Obama;)). Oh, and I’m known for my boisterous laugh! I just received my greatest role ever, new Mom, to my sweet little son!
